At the University of Chicago Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, we want students to have access to academic and cultural resources, but to also have opportunities independent of the classroom and student life. Call for Papers – Filipino American Historical Society Midwest Chapter 2009 Biennial Regional Conference

“The Filipino American Experience in Ohio and Other Midwestern States”
The Program Committee for the FAHS-Midwest Chapter’s 2009 Biennial Regional Conference invites proposals for exhibits, posters, papers, or symposia dealing with the experiences, challenges, achievements, and contributions of Filipinos and Filipino Americans in Ohio and other Midwestern states. Historical and contemporary accounts of Filipinos/Filipino Americans in all walks of life and of Filipino American organizations will be considered. Submissions discussing class, ethnicity, gender, health disparity, and other issues of concern to the Filipino American community will be welcome as well.
