At the University of Chicago Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, we want students to have access to academic and cultural resources, but to also have opportunities independent of the classroom and student life. Call for Paper: 4th International Conference on Social Science Research

December 9-11, 2009
Venue: Gaylord Opryland Resort, Nashville, TN
Proposal Deadline: October 15, 2009

We are particularly interested in papers from international scholars.

This interdisciplinary conference draws together faculty members, research scientists, and professionals from the social sciences, and provide them with the opportunity to interact with colleagues from the same field and from other, related fields. Cross-disciplinary submissions are particularly encouraged as is participation by international scholars. The disciplines represented will include:

* Anthropology,
* Area Studies (Asia, Latin America, Europe, etc.),
* Communication,
* Criminology,
* Economics,
* Geography,
* Gender Studies,
* History,
* International Studies
* Political Science,
* Policy/Public Administration,
* Psychology,
* Race/Ethnic Studies,
* Sociology, and
* Urban Studies.

Please submit a proposal to present a research paper or serve as a Chair or Discussant for a Panel.

Conference Registration. Conference registration includes two breakfasts, two lunches and one reception. Conference registration is lower if you stay in the conference hotel. See the Conference Registration form for prices, which start at $275 for students and $350 for faculty/professionals. Prices are higher if you register on-site or do not stay in the conference hotel. All attendees and presenters are expected to register.
