Data Analyst Internship

Attucks Asset Management is an African American-owned entrepreneurial Chicago-based investment management firm with assets over $1.4 billion, providing manager-of-managers services to institutional clients. Our team consists of individuals with excellent academic credentials, intellectual curiosity, and a strong desire to put client interests first. Due to continued growth of our firm, we are looking for detail-oriented individuals with strong analytical skills to support our highly professional team.

We are offering an opportunity for a Data Analyst internship to assist with coordination and completion of data and analytical work for a variety of clients. This position will consist of 10-15 hours per week.

Major responsibilities of this position include:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date economic and investment data in electronic formats
  • Prepare and organize data for client performance reports
  • Maintain and populate databases
  • Contribute to firm’s investment manager research function
  • Provide support for assigned client and research responsibilities, as needed
Required Skills for the Performance Analyst position include:
  • Finance major with experience in math and accounting
  • Have a basic knowledge of finance/investments including: financial markets, portfolio management and financial reporting
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Excel
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
