Title: Project Assistant in the Regenstein Library
Pay Rate: $14.91
Schedule (Hrs/Week): 15

General Summary: Under the direction of the Assessment Director:

The project assistant will participate in the execution and analysis of assessment projects at the University of Chicago Library. These activities will include setting up and performing web usability sessions, helping conduct and capture focus group activities, and analyzing and presenting survey data.

- Assist staff in the design, execution and evaluation of projects, including literature reviews, surveys, focus groups and data analysis.
- Assist staff in design and maintenance of online surveys and relational databases; this frequently involves use of SurveyMonkey, Excel, and Microsoft Access.
- Assist staff in writing code and analyzing data in SPSS.
- Produce written, tabular, and visual materials for research reports and presentations
- Prepare print documents, web pages, and other graphics.
- Handle and protect confidential and sensitive data with integrity.

Qualifications:
-Strong existing computer skills with Microsoft Office (especially Access and Excel)- SPSS statistical software or proven ability to learn.
-Experience creating and maintaining web pages.
-High personal motivation, self-management, and detail-orientation; ability to take responsibility in meeting deadlines.
-Strong spoken and written communication skills.
