At the University of Chicago Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, we want students to have access to academic and cultural resources, but to also have opportunities independent of the classroom and student life. Thus, the following is a list of opportunities where students can go to search for funding, enrich their summers or find work after graduation.

2010 Midwest Latino/a Caucus Graduate Student Travel Award

The Midwest Latino/a Caucus provide its travel award to assist Latino/a graduate students planning to travel to the Midwest Political Science Association's annual conference to present their research papers. One grant of $200 (plus, new this year, reimbursement for MPSA registration fees!) will be awarded for the 2010 MPSA meeting and will go to the graduate student who submits the best research paper proposal, as judged and selected by the MPSA Caucus officers. The award will be presented during the Midwest Latino/a Caucus business meeting at the time of the 2010 MPSA conference.

Those who wish to place an entry for the travel grant must submit an application form by the November 20, 2009 deadline and then submit a copy of their paper by the March 15, 2010 deadline. Click here for an application.
