At the University of Chicago Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, we want students to have access to academic and cultural resources, but to also have opportunities independent of the classroom and student life. Thus, the following is a list of opportunities where students can go to search for funding, enrich their summers or find work after graduation.

Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus Foundation SCHOLARSHIPS

If you are a college student and meet all of these qualifications, please submit an application:

Scholarship guidelines are the following:
  • An applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student during the fall term of 2009 or the spring term of 2010 at an accredited community college or four-year college or university;
  • Applicants must be of Latino ancestry;
  • The application form must be filled out completely, including a personal statement describing how the scholarship award will help the recipient achieve his or her educational and career goals;
  • A letter of recommendation written by the student’s primary academic advisor or major professor must accompany the application; and
  • Scholarship money must be used in the same academic year as it is granted.
