At the University of Chicago Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, we want students to have access to academic and cultural resources, but to also have opportunities independent of the classroom and student life. Thus, the following is a list of opportunities where students can go to search for funding, enrich their summers or find work after graduation.

U of C Public Interest Program

The UChicago Public Interest Program (UCPIP) fellowship offers graduates of the College paid, one-year fellowships at public interest organizations. UCPIP aims to give graduates meaningful work in the public interest sector as well as extensive support to full-time employment. Fellows attend weekly seminars to learn more about public interest work and are supported by individual alumni mentors.
Fellows may plan, implement and support a variety of projects, such as workshops and trainings; perform analytical research; coordinate community organizing efforts; and assist with development, grant writing, and fundraising.
Students should apply for the fellowship the winter quarter before they graduate. More information can be found at UCPIP.
