At the University of Chicago Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, we want students to have access to academic and cultural resources, but to also have opportunities independent of the classroom and student life. Thus, the following is a list of opportunities where students can go to search for funding, enrich their summers or find work after graduation.

"I was filled with enthusiasm and excitement when I heard that I would be doing an externship at Children’s Memorial Hospital with Dr. Tetsu “Butch” Uejima. Dr. Uejima is both an alumni of the College and the Pritzker Medical School of the University of Chicago. At Children’s Memorial, Dr. Uejima performs the roles of attending anesthesiologist and medical director of risk management and patient safety. I went to Children’s Memorial expecting to see and learn a few things about medicine but Dr. Uejima gave me so much more. He immersed me head first into the practice of medicine and it was nothing but an amazing experience."
