At the University of Chicago Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, we want students to have access to academic and cultural resources, but to also have opportunities independent of the classroom and student life. Thus, the following is a list of opportunities where students can go to search for funding, enrich their summers or find work after graduation.

Call for Submissions: “Trans-Scripts”

"Trans-Scripts" -- a student run, faculty advised online interdisciplinary journal in the Humanities and Social Sciences -- has recently been created at the University of California, Irvine.

The journal is seeking graduate student work. The theme of the inaugural issue is “Race: Theories, Identities, Intersections, Histories, and the ‘Post-Racial’ Society.” Any submission on issue of race will be welcome. Some renowned academics have agreed to contribute pieces, thereby offering students experience of the peer review process, as well as opportunities to further their professional standing and showcase their research alongside the work of highly respected established academics.
