At the University of Chicago Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, we want students to have access to academic and cultural resources, but to also have opportunities independent of the classroom and student life. Thus, the following is a list of opportunities where students can go to search for funding, enrich their summers or find work after graduation.

Arts Management Internship Positions

The Logan Arts Center is in the process of partnering with CAPS to hire an Arts Management Metcalf Intern for the remainder of the academic year, as well as a Arts Council Graduate Arts Management Fellow.

The part-time Arts Management Metcalf Internship is open to students in the College and would begin Winter Quarter, 2011.  This is a very exciting time to be a part of the team, and this person would be working as they move into the Logan Center for classes and preview events this Spring.  They will also develop Arts Pass programs, administer content for the website and calendars, and develop a strategy to reach out to College students about various arts events on and off campus.

They are also looking for a Graduate Arts Management Fellow to work with the Arts Council on administering the grant programs, as well as supporting events and meetings.  This graduate student would also be responsible for helping with out with graduate students events and outreach.  This person would start as soon as possible.

The deadline for applications is Monday, November 28.   All students must apply via the CAPS website for both positions.
