At the University of Chicago Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, we want students to have access to academic and cultural resources, but to also have opportunities independent of the classroom and student life. Thus, the following is a list of opportunities where students can go to search for funding, enrich their summers or find work after graduation.

The Office of Civic Engagement Internships

The Office of Civic Engagement has worked with CAPS to post 8 Metcalf Internships online to continue efforts to have students experience (and contribute to) the work of the offices of the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 20th Wards. These positions are paid (~8 hrs/wk during the school year) and do not require any work-study eligibility. The office will provide regular support for the students (including transportation to/from the Ward offices).

Students to apply through the CAPS Chicago Career Connection Website (
https://caps.uchicago.edu/careerconnection/ ).

The Internships are listed as Office of Civic Engagement Public Service Interns under requisition # 18703. These positions will ONLY be listed through the end of the week, so please encourage students to apply ASAP.
