The Dr. Aizik Wolf Human Rights Post-Baccalaureate Fellowship
DEADLINE EXTENDED TO MARCH 19, 2012
The Human Rights Program is pleased to announce that it is extending the deadline for the 2012 competition for the Dr. Aizik Wolf Post-Baccalaureate Fellowship in Human Rights. 

The fellowship award will fund one year of work, after graduation, at a non-governmental organization, government agency, or international body dedicated to human rights.   The award consists of a $24,000 stipend for 12 months of full-time work, with some additional support for travel and/or relocation expenses.

The student must submit a letter of support from the intended organization as part of the application.  Priority will be given to students who have previously completed a University of Chicago Human Rights Program Internship and who propose returning to their previous organization or area of work.  However, other College seniors with comparable experience are encouraged to apply.  Applicants must have completed at least two Human Rights courses at the University of Chicago prior to their application.

Applications are due Monday, March 19, 2012, by 5:00 pm. Submissions should be emailed to Program Manager Sarah Patton Moberg at spmoberg@uchicago.edu.

Requirements:
  • Dr. Aizik Wolf Fellowship application form (attached);
  • Resume;
  • 3 letters of recommendation from faculty or previous supervisors or employers; and,
  • a letter of support from the proposed host organization. (Letters of support can be submitted in hard copy sent directly to HRP office or by email to spmoberg@uchicago.edu)
Applicants who pass an initial screening will have interviews scheduled in early Spring Quarter.
