At the University of Chicago Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, we want students to have access to academic and cultural resources, but to also have opportunities independent of the classroom and student life. Clinton Global Initiative University

Apply now to attend the third annual meeting of Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) hosted jointly by President Clinton and the University of Miami. Applying and attending are FREE. The deadline for applications is February 22, 2010 and space is filling up quickly.

This year’s meeting will take place at the University of Miami, Florida from April 16 – 18, 2010.
The 2010 meeting will focus on how students like you can take practical action to solve global challenges in education, environment & climate change, peace & human rights, poverty alleviation, and public health. Attendees will be exposed to a broad range of luminaries from a variety of sectors. Confirmed speakers this year include President Clinton, John Podesta, and Usher.

CGI U is also accepting applications for the 2010 Outstanding Commitment Awards, sponsored by Walmart. Winners will receive anywhere from $1,000 - $10,000 to support their CGI U commitments to action. Click here to apply for the awards.
