At the University of Chicago Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, we want students to have access to academic and cultural resources, but to also have opportunities independent of the classroom and student life. Northwestern University Summer Research in Physical and Biological Sciences

Northwestern University is offering summer research opportunities in the biological and physical sciences to students from groups underrepresented in the scientific community, including African-American, Latina/o, and American Indian students, as well as students with disabilities and first-generation college students.
Students must be in their first, second or third-year, pursuing a degree in applied mathematics or physical sciences

The Physical Sciences-Oncology Center focuses on intensive instruction and research in the physical sciences. Information can be found at northwestern.edu

The CURE program is open to minority students interested in a biomedical career focused on cancer research. Both groups will attend lunch seminars on new medical technologies and practices relating to oncology. For more information, visit http://www.lurie.northwestern.edu/cure/index.cfm

Both programs offer a stipend, housing, and travel reimbursement. Application are due March 2nd.
