Summer Library Job

Section: Personnel

Title: Student Personnel Assistant
Pay Rate: $12.29 per hour
Schedule: 15 hrs per week (Office is open 8:30a.m.-5:00p.m. Monday-Friday), Availability: Immediately and carrying into the Summer Quarter

Responsibilities:
Under the direction and general supervision of the Personnel Assistant and Personnel Manager, the student assistant is responsible for performing the following tasks and other assigned duties:


  • Sets up, organizes and maintains employee files
  • Responsible for data verification and filing Personnel Action Forms
  • Mails checks to employees
  • Delivers personnel and budget related documents
  • Assists walk-in patrons
  • Assists Budget & Payroll Office when needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Related general office experience required
  • Ability to maintain records and files accurately required
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Organizational skills required
  • Knowledge of scanners, copy machines, fax machines, and internet
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required
  • Ability to handle confidential materials with discretion and maturity
