At the University of Chicago Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, we want students to have access to academic and cultural resources, but to also have opportunities independent of the classroom and student life. Thus, the following is a list of opportunities where students can go to search for funding, enrich their summers or find work after graduation.

¡Adelante! U.S. Education Leadership Fund Leaderhip Insitute

¡Adelante!'s premiere program hosts student leaders from across the country to focus on developing their leadership, communication and career skills. When the weekend session ends, the student participants return to their campuses enthusiastic about the future with increased self-confidence in their abilities to assume leadership roles on their campuses and communities. The 2010 conference is scheduled to be held in San Antonio, TX and is open to all college sophomores, juniors or seniors.


2010 Program Highlights:
  • Sqaure - Olmos EJ-Photo (Headshot) high res (e-mailable).jpgYour students will have access to company human resource staff and a career fair that will have companies represented from across the country.
  • Students will do Gallup’s Strength Finder and have professionals present the results.
  • Actor Edward James Olmos will close out the Institute at Adelante’s Leadership Awards Banquet.
