At the University of Chicago Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, we want students to have access to academic and cultural resources, but to also have opportunities independent of the classroom and student life. Teach For America is the national corps of outstanding recent college graduates and professionals—of all majors, backgrounds, and career interests—who commit to teach for two years in urban and rural low-income communities and become lifelong leaders in expanding educational opportunity.

Right now, 8,200 corps members have begun teaching in 39 regions across the country, while over 20,000 Teach For America alumni continue working from inside and outside the field of education for the fundamental changes necessary to ensure educational excellence and equity.

Introduction to Teach For America: A session designed for those with limited prior knowledge about Teach For America. Learn about our mission and approach to closing the achievement gap. One of our corps members will talk about his or her experience. Includes Q&A session.


WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 2
9 PM ET REGISTER
Stories From 2nd Generation Corps Members: A discussion about Teach For America's direct impact on the achievement gap. Hear from corps members who were once taught by corps members themselves. Includes Q&A session.
