2011 Harvard Divnity School Diversity and Explorations Program

The Harvard Divinity School is pleased to announce that applications are available for the fifth annual Diversity and Explorations Program on November 8-10, 2011!

Diversity and Explorations is intended to interest students who are underrepresented in the graduate study of religion, with a particular focus on African American, Latino/a, Asian American, and Native American students. Applications are welcomed from talented undergraduates whose backgrounds demonstrate a commitment to issues of diversity, social justice, and the fields of religion, theology and ministry. Students who have already graduated from an undergraduate program and those who may be considering second career options will be considered if space is available.
Selected participants will be provided with transportation to Harvard Divinity School as well as room and board for the duration of the program. The program offers an opportunity to explore graduate theological education in a variety of ways, including class visits, panel discussions, and formal presentations by faculty, alumni, staff and students. We will also host a graduate fair with graduate programs across Harvard University as well as several other divinity schools. Diversity and Explorations alumni who are currently enrolled at HDS will be on hand to welcome and connect with this year’s participants.
