Consider applying for the Woodrow Wilson-Rockefeller Brothers Fund
Fellowships for Aspiring Teachers of Color. Funded through the
Rockefeller Brothers Fund, the Fellowship offers support for Fellows to
complete master’s degree programs in education and become excellent educators
who ensure student success in high-need schools. STUDENTS MAJORING IN STEM
FIELDS, who are interested in teaching, and who meet the eligibility
criteria are strongly encouraged to consider this opportunity.
The Award:
The fellowship includes:
- A $30,000 stipend to apply toward the cost of a master’s degree at a participating graduate program (see list on the website listed at the bottom of this email.
- Preparation in a high-need public school.
- Support and mentoring throughout the three-year teaching commitment.
- Guidance toward teaching certification.
- Lifelong membership in a national network of Woodrow Wilson Fellows who are intellectual leaders.
The Commitment:
As part of their commitment to ensuring the success of students in high-need
schools, Fellows teach for at least three years in an urban or rural school
district. Continuation as a teacher of record is contingent on the Fellow’s
completion of the master’s degree and obtaining appropriate teaching licensure.
