At the University of Chicago Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, we want students to have access to academic and cultural resources, but to also have opportunities independent of the classroom and student life. Graduate Student Assistant

Bucknell University Office of Multicultural Student Services (MSS)
Hours: 20 hours per week
Rate of Pay: $8700 stipend and On-Campus Housing
Starting Date: Fall Term 2010

Function of Position:
One of the major focuses of The Plan for Bucknell is diversity. Central to meeting these strategic goals is the development and management of programming relating to minority and multicultural communities and other campus enrichment initiatives. The MSS Graduate Student Assistant will have primary responsibility for supporting the MSS Office with a broad range of support services related to multicultural students at Bucknell University. The MSS Graduate Student Assistant reports to the Director of MSS and in the absence of the Director, to the MSS Assistant. The MSS Graduate Student Assistant will work with a wide spectrum of resources, including but not limited to students, faculty, staff, alumni, community-based organizations, colleagues from other universities, and parents.

In addition they will live in and serve the 7th Street House for the Studies of the Black Diaspora.This residential Living and Learning facility has the following mission: To foster a sense of community and promote campus-wide intellectual development on African-American, Caribbean and African studies through thematic programming.
