Summer Graduate Intern Position

Bucknell University Office of Multicultural Student Services (MSS)
Hours: 45 hours per week, 10 weeks
Rate of Pay: $5250 stipend, $700 declining dollar board plan and On-Campus Housing
Starting Date: Fall Term 2010

Function of Position:
One of the major focuses of The Plan for Bucknell is diversity. Central to meeting these strategic goals is the development and management of programming relating to minority and multicultural communities and other campus enrichment initiatives. The MSS Summer Graduate Intern will have primary responsibility for supporting the MSS Office Together Everyone Achieves More(T.E.A.M.) Peer Mentor Program. This initiative is designed to assist incoming first-year students from historically underrepresented groups including first generation, through the social and academic transition from high school to college. The MSS Summer Graduate Intern reports to the Director of MSS and in the absence of the Director, to the MSS Assistant.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The Summer Graduate Intern will work primarily with research and assessment of the
2009-2010 T.E.A.M. program cohort. In addition, the position will further research best practices, relative scholarly publications and continue development of the T.E.A.M. program by making recommendations for the program. These recommendations are to include supporting materials and documents such as surveys, training materials, timelines etc. This intern will also help to condense and organize electronic and paper materials associated with the T.E.A.M. program and assist in creating future publications and summary report documents.
