At the University of Chicago Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, we want students to have access to academic and cultural resources, but to also have opportunities independent of the classroom and student life. Women of Color Conference in October

Feminist Majority Foundation in partner with Spelman College, Spelman Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance, Spelman Women's Research and Resource Center and the Bennett College for Women presents The 3rd Annual Women of Color Conference at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia from October 9th & 10th, 2009.

The 3rd Annual Women of Color Conference will bring together feminist, activist leaders in communities of color around the country to develop strategies and wield influence to affect real sociopolitical change. These student leaders will learn about various social justice issues, be provided with a space for women of color and allies to come together, and strategize for action as part of a larger movement for justice and equality.

By focusing on advocacy and activism to create political change, the 3rd Annual Women of Color Conference will help to unite all young women to take action in the fight for equality! Topics to be addressed include reproductive justice, violence against women, health care reform, the economy, global reproductive rights and health, media, and much more.
