Job Opportunity: Program Specialist

The Chicago Association for Research and Education in Science (CARES), a non-profit organization associated with the Hines VA Hospital and North Chicago VA Medical Center (NCVAMC), is hiring.

Program Specialist

Responsibilities:
  • Provides administrative and statistical reports and analysis during the data collection phase and final analyzes to support the conduct of the project
  • Responsible for writing portions of the report; performing analysis of workload, processes, and procedures of study personnel; proposing more efficient utilization; assuring administrative obligations are met; support the ethical conduct of the study; and provide assistance to the study biostatistician
Requirements:
  • BS or MS in Social Science, Biological Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in medical/health care industry
  • SQL experience
  • Professional work experience related to description above and with medical databases a plus
  • strong SAS foundation
  • Working knowledge of large scale databases
